Finance Pulse (https://getfinancepulse.com) is an independent, advertising-supported publisher and comparison service. This page explains how we make money, what that means for the content you read, and how we keep our editorial independent.
How we make money
The free content on this site — articles, reviews, calculators, and guides — is funded by partnerships with financial product providers. We may receive compensation when you:
- Click on certain links to advertisers, partners, or sponsors
- Open an account, apply for a product, or complete a transaction with a partner you found through our site
- View a sponsored placement, comparison table, or featured offer
This compensation may take the form of an affiliate commission, a fixed referral fee (CPA), a per-click payment (CPC), or a flat sponsorship fee.
How compensation may impact this site
The compensation we receive may impact how and where products appear on this site — for example, the order in which they appear in lists, comparison tables, or category pages. It may also affect which products we choose to write about.
We do not include every financial product or company available on the market. The presence or absence of a product on Finance Pulse is not an endorsement, and absence does not mean a product is unsuitable.
What compensation does NOT affect
Our editorial team operates independently from our advertising and partnerships team. The following are never influenced by advertiser compensation:
- Star ratings and review scores. These are determined by our editorial methodology, not by what a company pays us.
- Pros, cons, and editorial opinions. If a product has a flaw, we say so — even if the company is a paying partner.
- Whether we recommend a product. We will not call a bad product "good" because we get paid for it.
- The accuracy of factual claims. Rates, fees, terms, and product details are sourced directly from the issuer's official documentation, not from advertising materials.
You don't pay extra
Using our links to apply for or open an account does not change the price you pay, the rate you receive, or the terms of the product. The compensation comes from the partner's marketing budget, not from you.
You are never obligated to use our links. You can always go directly to the provider's website if you prefer.
Which links earn us money
Not every link on this site is an affiliate link. As a general rule:
- Links to specific products inside reviews, comparison tables, "best of" lists, and most "Open account" or "Apply now" buttons may earn us a commission.
- Links to news sources, regulatory bodies, government websites, academic research, and educational resources are not compensated.
- Links inside the body of educational articles may or may not be compensated, depending on context.
Where required, individual articles will include an additional in-line disclosure near the top of the page.
Our editorial methodology
Every product we review is evaluated against a written rubric appropriate to its category — for example, brokerage accounts are scored on fees, available investments, platform quality, research tools, and customer support. Credit cards are scored on rewards rates, fees, intro offers, and ongoing benefits.
Our scores are based on publicly verifiable data and hands-on testing where applicable. We update reviews when product terms change.
Rates, fees, and terms
Financial product details (APYs, APRs, fees, rewards rates, minimum balances, intro offers, etc.) change frequently and are set by the issuer, not by us. While we make every effort to keep this information current, we cannot guarantee it is up to date at the moment you read it.
Always verify current rates and terms directly with the financial institution before applying for or using any product.
Not financial advice
Nothing on Finance Pulse is personalized financial advice. Our content is for general informational and educational purposes only. Your financial situation is unique, and a product that is right for one person may not be right for another. Please consult a qualified, fee-only fiduciary financial advisor before making significant financial decisions. See our full Disclaimer for details.
